The Victims Memorial Quilt was constructed in three sections, each about 20 feet long and ten feet tall. Sections are joined together with Velcro® to help transport, display and clean the quilt.
Each section of the quilt has a large scene at its center to depict different events of 9-11: the World Trace Center towers, the Pentagon, and Flight 93. Important symbols are stitched to the design, and include the American Flag flown by an eagle, the Statue of Liberty, emergency vehicles used that day, and envelopes to represent the people who died of anthrax poisoning. You'll see other intricate work as you look at photos of the quilt.
The Victims quilt features photos of the people who lost their lives during the 9-11 attacks.
